XML-only blogs?
Hey everybody.
I've been looking into setting up a blog on my site. Because I hate MySQL with a passion, i'd be interested to know if anybody has even seen an XML driven weblog. I know it's possible - my friend has developed an XML only Flash notes app.
Has anybody seen one?

nope, I've been looking for one myself man.
Somebody here was making one, and I've seen some other sites talk about them as a wanted item, but I haven't seen one that used XML with XSLT or XML with Flash all too swiftly...
yet.

After posting this question, I got to talking to a pal of mine, Matt Burnett. He's an amazing programmer - he knows PHP and XML like the back of his hand. Anyway, we've decided to try and create an all-Flash blog, complete with username, time of post, comments, and a built-in CMS system. Should be cool. I'm doing the interface design, of course. Me + PHP + XML = BAD.

well since rss feeds (blogs) are based in XML, its no new idea to create a flash blog reader that uses XML instead of a DB. - that way people can share blogs very easily www.flashcomponents.net/ has one, which supports images, and is generally OK IMO.
it might have been me talking about making my own flash blog on FK - said i was going to release it. i changed my mind, although it took me way less than a day to write the client, its not that hard really, and its rss v1.92 and v2.0 compatible
