New User havin some probs
Hey guys, been lookin thru here for the last couple of days, using the tutorials and all, but I'm havin a problem. I've downloaded several .fla & .swf files to add to my movie. But when I go to add nothing happens. Here are the steps I'm using, can you help.
1) Go to the slide where I'm puttin the flash object
2) Import flash movie as an object
3) Select the directory where the .swf is
4) save everything
But when I go to play it, everything works but the flash object I put in.
What am I missin, I'm still new and tryin to figure this all out, unlike your brain's, it takes me a little longer to get this stuff.
Thanks

fla files
The fla files would be easiest to drag from library to library.
You open your own .fla and then the one you want a part of... then of both sides you open the menu windows > library
You can drag n drop between these.
The Swf is usually importable but not all the time.. and i am not comletely sure by your description... sorry..
I'll be sure to copy your design, as soon as i find out how this GotoAndPlay thing works.

u should use loadMovie() and call swf file as movie not as an object

FLA files ???
(are you sure that you're in the right forum ?)
To "add" a SWF file to your movie, use loadMovie command.
(anyhow, you have to create a "phantom" child-movie to do that)

>> You need to play the movie in the same directory that the imported swf is in. When you hit the play button, it will ask you for the directory.
