    PNG File Type Poll

    I was wondering, and maybe some of you other website developers out there might want to know also, how many browsers support PNG files. If you don't know, see if you can view this file within your browser:

    Most, as far as I know, right back to when I was using IE4.

    I'm not sure but I seem to remember that IE had problems displaying PNG files with transparent areas.

    Not exactly what I would call built-in PNG support though - surely it should work from a normal < img> tag...

    Here's a test image:

    Should be a green -> transparent radial gradient. Doesn't work in IE5 at all but I haven't tested higher versions.

    cant open at all on mac osx, internet explorer 5.2

    Opens here on Mac IE 5.0 in the QuickTime plugin.
