    Catalog Printing

Ah, after about 2 months, I finally finished by first print job. A 60 page catalog for Car Wash Accessories.

I'm not too happy with it...at all, but I learned alot about cmyk, quark, and the whole printing process in general.

Here the front and back covers, and the first 2 pages. What do you guys think?

er, on those image, the edges are still stretched for the bleed. I guess I forgot to take it off. S'okay though. Oh and the 2 things on the front cover arent meant to look "in" the photo. just kinda placed on top. S'what he wanted, I suppose.

Not bad at all. I know as designers we can have grand plans for projects, but those pesky clients always seem to get in the way. They are the ones paying though.

In all seriousness, nice job. There are so many factors involved with print that it can be overwhelming at times. I tend to work with one or two printers only; the relationship developed allows for open an honest communication. That way, you can avoid those situations when you get a job back from the printer expecting to see one thing, and getting another.

I think the artwork is top-notch, but for my money, if I got a car wash catalogue in the mail, I would be more attracted to "real" pictures of cars and the facilities as opposed to computer generated art...thats just me though.

No offense intended, just 1 consumers opinion...

What did you use to make the vaccuum models? Swift? Looks real good!

Is this catalogue free? I would like to see a copy in person... when is it available?

Ah the photos are real. I appreciate the input though.
Most of the crap inside is like decals and neon signs and stuff.

The catalog costs us like 3 bucks each to print, but I'll see how many I can get and Ill send yah one if you gimme your address.
Hopefully it'll be available within the next 2 weeks. I don't really know how long it takes for printers to print this stuff.
    maybe.
