A tree is a tree, just think and design a tree that fits with your style. If you look at a lot of the anime, the backgrounds are fabulous but they design them to fit with the toon. I don't think there is stock image of a "anime" tree. Part of animating is making a new world and integrating all the elements of that world into a cohesive whole.

Yeah. I can see the style i want in my head. I can draw it but when it comes to coloring it. It just doesnt seem to come out how i planned what im looking for is how the trees are colored and have sun rays coming through different areas of the trees. I was just trying to look for examples for coloring. Drawing the trees insnt a prob.

Instead of wanting to copy other people's versions, try and go out and and take a walk amongst some trees. I was in horticulture for a while so plants and landscapes aren't a problem...you need to take a walk and visualize what you want to see....it's like life drawing but with plants and scenery. Make sketches and really look at things, you'll be surprised at how things start to come together. Usually trees branch in threes especially if they have had any early pruning and training. Learn to see....that's my advice. As to lighting and the rays coming through the trees, try layers in Flash and taking walks at different times of the day. Lighting is a difficult concept but if you learn to see the shadows and highlights, it's like painting...learn to see first.
