Suggested SWF Site Size
Is 180K too big for a site SWF?

Character Animator
yeah, that should be okay, I'd reccomend putting a pre-loader (or something that mentions the filesize) on it, but otherwise that's an alright size.
BTW posts like this should go under general help.

Okay cool. And I have a preloader. Although this is kinda of a Site (Size) Check post!

Obviously, try to make the site as small as possible. It's not a good
idea to have "Broadband is required" message on the site (although
this is increasingly popular).
For flash, if you can fit the whole site in under 200k, you're doing fine.
But, yes to the preloader.
FYI :: DSL, IE 6, Win Me, 1280 x 1024
Hoping for PowerBook G4

100k
My opinion is 100k.... make the site as big as you want but the second you reach 100k your site is too big and you need to be impletementing "on demand" movies that are loaded into the browser as the user requests it.
Get people into your site ASAP... 500k broken up over 5/6 steps is a LOT better than a 500k initial download for a 56k user.... not only that, but if someone just needs to access your site to get your email address or something, that is quite annoying to have to sit through 200-500k+ worth of download just to find out how to contact you.
