well that certainly throws a wet blanket on the crusade i had planed.

anybody else notice that armies in religious wars generally kill more of their own religion than the oposing religion. I knew this was always true of the crusades, but came to find it to be true of early wars in muslim expansion and internal conflict

my family is amish - i just wanted to note that 'amish' is not a religion - they are all mennonites, a form of christianity. being 'amish' is more of a persucuted lifestyle than a religion - that's why they left switzerland - to avoid being burned at the stake....

listen to DP - he is correct. the jewish, christian, and muslim god are literally the SAME DIETY. any scholar from any of those 3 religions would know this. muhammad is the 'seal of the prophets', or the last of 'the one god's' messengers. islam teaches that there have been many prophets throughout time (from abraham to moses to jesus to muhammad), but muhammad was the final prophet. god will send no more.

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

i don't think the messiah/second coming is really a prophet per say...more of a traffic cop. "Angels this way, Sinners that way" "Please move on, there's nothing to see here"....

let me say i'm not much of a christian, not a very good jew either.

I think the second coming of christ for the christians is more of a traffic cop as you say. A weeding out of the sinners.

The messiah for the jews is more of a leader. The messiah was a jew that would unite the jewish people and return them to isreal and rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. Considering the isreali government practices the return and the fact that they are building the wall east of Jerusalem seems to be taking away some of the Messiah's tasks.

reform and reconstructionist judaism do not believe there will be a messiah. but that messiah is a metaphor for elightenment and working together.

Decided to have another look just for larfs, and found what is probably THE best part of the site, regarding consumerism as ruining christmas, and therefore being evil.

J.C. Penny - The J.C. makes us think of Jesus Christ, thus associating our Lord with the lowest monetary value, the penny (even Judas valued Him at 30 pieces of silver!).
Sears - What the flesh of the damned does in Hell. It also sounds like "seers", Pagan mystics who engaged in occult premonitions.
Cinnabon - Sounds like "Sin Upon".
Orange Julius - Named for the Pagan Emperor of Rome. This company's mascot was once a devil, until they changed it to hide their true intentions.
Hot Topic - A recent store aimed at children that openly sells devil paraphernalia. Any guess as to why "hot" is in their name?
Hallmark Gold Crown Stores - Purveyors of Santamas tree ornaments depicting anthropomorphized woodland creatures (reference to Evolutionism) and Harry Potter merchandise. What notable person will have a mark and wear crowns? (Rev. 13:16, 13:1)
"What really bugs me is that my mom had the audacity to call Flash Kit a bunch of 'inept jack-asses'." - sk8Krog
...and now I have tape all over my face.

Except for Hallmark, that has absolutly nothing to do with Christmas. And I happen to know that Hallmark puts out MANY books aimed specifically towards christian readers. The design company I work for just finished making 5 of them.

    j

and now I'm off to J.C. 30 pieces of silver
