are there any good free PHP uploader programs which convert an image in to a thumbnail also?

Hi,

the good uploader is just a few lines, but you probably want to integrate it with your site (make people register before upload, or whatever fits your plans)
Whether it can do a thumbnail too depends on whether your webhosz has installed the gd library with php
