Simple enough.
The GuestBook "data-base" is a TXT file (with HTML tags).
In fact, you can change the extension from TXT to HTML and to see it in your browser.
You can use NotePad (for example) to edit the GuestBook.
P.S.
I know that (I get an email each time the GB is signed).
P.S.2
Please, don't "overload" my GuestBook with ... trash !

To test your GuestBook OFFLINE you'll need more than that.
Requirements:
1) IIS or PWS (your personal server)
2) PHP v4.xx installed
3) few other knowledges

Don't forget to read the Read Me First file !
guestbook.php and guestbook.txt files MUST be uploaded in TEXT mode and MUST be set to ACTIVE !
chmod 755 guestbook.php
chmod 777 guestbook.txt
Also,be sure that your server (host) is PHP enabled.
p.s.
post a link to your GuestBook
