making the man move

U tell me how can I do something like this http://www.ibiblio.org/kappa/intro2.html …..The main thing I am trying to know how is the man created and how does it did they get it to move around like that…. I am sure they didn’t draw this either, nor every frame they wanted to man to move …could you tell me how it was done?

Looks like it was motion capture turned to quicktime (or whatever) then published to flash. That's my best guess *shrugs*
