    splashpage+flash detection

    Hi there,

What would be the best.A splashpage made with html that has a button for download the flash plugin(still need of a detection then?) or a splashpage made in flash and how would you detect if you have the plugin then.

what is the best and simplest way for flash plugin detection?

And if you could also answer this:when the user types my webpage in the browser and hits enter I want the page to hide the sidebars(favorites,...).Hope you know what I mean. Not a popup only the side ionly shows the tabs for favorites,...

Hope to get you back on this

    Grtz,

Re. hiding favorites, I don't think this is possible without using a popup window.

thx for the link.Could people tell me witch detection they mostly use.Like flash script based detection or ...

How they mostly make there splashpage:with flash or html?

I have no nolige of splashpages(html).Do they have to have the same size as your
    flash pages?
I'm going for a vertical splash I set it's height to 480 and weight to 200.the size of the site whill be 780x480(centered).So size for the splash would be right when I made a html one?

for the sidebars I mentioned look at the jpg I included to get the idea of what I was trying to tell, ask(this is possible, seen this)

hope to get feedback from several people, grtz
