Why does loading XML not work from another server?

I just don't get it. I went to a lot of work to import and parse out an RSS. Through the development, it worked fantastic on my local machine, put when it was done, I put it up on my server, and it doesn't work. So i searched this forum and it appears that it was done my mm for security reasons.

Guess I don't have a criminal mind, but I am wondering what damage I could have done with this? And if i can do it from my local machine how did it prevent the crime?

Guess it would not make me so made if I had gone to a lot of work to make this parser.

    Hi jamesbooth97,

Have a look at Tupps' FAQ on XML, in particular this section:
    http://www.tupps.com/flash/faq/xml.html#2-B

Also look at this article on Macromedia's site:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...ad_xdomain.htm
    and this article:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...s_security.htm

    Hope this helps!
