    Rollover Animation

    Sorry guys...another question!

I can make objects change colour/shape on rollover, but for some reason the "motion script" is disabled when you're editting the "over" bit. Is there any way in KoolMoves to make an object move when the mouse is over it? (eg. pixellise/spin)

I know it is possible as it is frequently seen on other flash movies on the web.

    Thanks for your help

Here is an example of a motion script button. Open "motion_script_button.fun" to see how it's done. Enjoy

If you're not so hip on action script... then do what I do in moments of stress, make your movie and add some frames, then make your effect inside those frames,,, (you can have a whole disco going on if you want), then add to the buttons, <on rollover. go to frame "xxxx" and play>. The extra frames (normally about 4 per button plus tweens) don't take up too many Kb,s and you have a lot more choice in whatever effect you wish to happen. Just remember to put a "STOP" command at the end of each button effect. There are a load of scripts which will do the business, but if you are not so hot on them (as I am not), then it works well,, especially on flash 6 output where you can reduce file sizes dramatically with compression. Cheers.
A simple example (fun) ..Fun File

    Animated Buttons

The first few buttons on this page are made the way gusmus mentioned, no actionscript, instead made by inserting an animated movie clip for the button's over state. Feel free to download and look at them if you want.
