    Macromedia to test Linux support

    Checkout news.com

Macromedia's Flash format, Chief Software Architect Kevin Lynch said the company would begin soon by offering optimizations to allow Flash MX, its main set of tools for creating Flash content, to work smoothly with Wine, an emulation program that allows Windows programs to run on a Linux PC. Depending on developer interest, the next step would be to produce Linux-native versions of Flash MX and other applications

Good to see MM taking Linux seriously! This is what is needed for a lot of people to actually make the switch to Linux.

that means that people should support this so that MM will know that it's a good thing.

Send an e-mail to [email protected]

The lack of official support for their products alone has kept Linux out of consideration for me. That could very well change.

Linux is smooth when you got a good library ... I wonder if Flash could get Open Source!
I ask you all to concentrate really hard on the freedom of all being. Its hard not to be very angry it is impossible We have to focus this confusion frustration helplessness feeling into a creative outlet Anger can spawn such amazing creativity through Street art Free art to teach each other know each other a language our evolution Go ahead and break some dumb rules

Let's get it running on the platform first
On a side note: http://f4l.sourceforge.net/ is a GPL flash editor that you can get the source for though (alpha)
