how to do a Xray effect?

hey, i want to do a xray effect, i want to "hide" some objects inside bags and that when a screen passes by you can see whats inside. How do you achieve that? i was thinking having 2 layers one xrayed and one normal and then giving the screen properties to only sow whats on the xrayed layer, can someone help me? thanxs

Well you're close, with the two layers. Except your going to add a third layer and make that one a Mask.

    > They should be organized like this:
    Top Layer: Non-xrayed.
Middle Layer: Mask layer, place a box in here or whatever kind of object you want the x-ray to be shown through.
    Bottom Layer: x-rayed.
