What's that film.....?????

I can vaguely remember an old manga-type film which envolves these two kids on an island or planet which looks kinda like an incan ruin, with everything all overgrown.

I think they then get undergraown somehow, and it turns out to be a huge machine city, but everything is dead..

I think they re-activate a huge robot....

Does this ring any bells? It's one of those things that's been driving me mad for years. I loved it at the time, but that's not saying it's good....

nah, none of them, it was definatly a manga style cartoon though. I may have to resign myself to never knowing what it was.

no, i don't think it was cities of gold although i do remember that. It was more futuristic. Like a lost civilisation of robots, all overgrown and coverd with moss.

oh, and that thing with the kids killing each other is called Battle Royal. sick.

i know what you're talking about. it's one of my favorite anime's (and it's done by the same guy who did Spirited Away). It's called Laputa: Castle in the Sky (or just "Castle in the Sky")......disney recently bought the rights to it and released it on DVD, you can get it anywhere now.
