    How do you do this?

How do you import a 3d object into a koolmoves project? Does it have to in a certain format?

It has to be in one of the supported KM Formats (DXF-Autocad and EPS are supported), and KM doesn't tend to import Bitmaps. It would help to know what 3D app you are exporting from.

Either that or export from your 3D program as PNG, BMP, GIF, JPEG, ECT and then import into KoolMoves.

I'm Using Wings 3d as the program. It can export objects as: .ndo, .3ds, .eps, .obi, .rwx, and .wrl
I tried to import the image in .eps format. Do you have to import it using File>import vecter graphic?

    YES.

The import of mixed raster and vector graphics doesn't always go so well. Just be warned that if it converts it to EPS but only places a bitmap within a vector shape then it won't import except the vector shape and it will show up as a black shape.

    Hi minimidge.
You can't import a 3D object into a KM project (or any other flash project).
Flash is a vectorial 2D environment and has nothing to do with 3D models or 3D worlds.
But ... you have 2 options:
    1) render your model and take the final snapshot (as BMP,JPG,etc) and import this image into KoolMoves.
    2) for many 3D modelers there're SWF exporters (plugins), able to export the 3D scene (or model) as flash file.
I don't know if there is a SWF plugin for Wings3D,you have to find out.

    p.s.
I know that Wings3D is freeware, but this app is far away from 3DSMax,Maya,SoftImage or LightWave.

    cheers

    And something more:
because of the too many formats (DCS2,TIFF preview,PS3,RGB,PS5,QXP,and so on) and too many bugs, importing/exporting EPS is not a good option.

Actually there is ways to import 3d animations into km projects. A simple way would be to install a program that can make a movie into individual frames. Ex: Macromedia Flash 2004. Then import each individual image into a movie clip, and your all set.

    A 3D animation is NOT a movie !
To get a movie as result, you have to render the 3D scene as AVI or as sequence of images (BMP,JPG,etc).
As I said before, the best method is to use a SWF exporter for your 3D app.
After that, just import the SWF file and do anything you like.
