transpanrent is not transparent using .PNG

    Hi
I have been playing around to make a little intro for my football teams website that i have made, but have come across the problem where the transparent parts of the .png's i import are not completely transparent.

Basically the graphics are normal .png files created in photoshop and when in photoshop the bg is completely transparent. I have imported these files into flash MX 2004 and have found that they are leaving what looks like faint horizontal lines. Here is an example http://www.stelphick.com/flash/intro3.html(click on football to start)
take a look at the green background. Can you see the lines around the bubble, the human head and the seahorse???

Has anyone any ideas why this is happening? This is the first time i have used MX 2004 and i have never had this problem before when using 5 or MX???

Any ideas or help are greatly appreciated

    Barry

That may be the way the image is cutout and not a problem with the transparency itself. Try selecting the image and cropping the marquee by one pixel, select inverse, then delete. It may also help to select the border and blur it.

i am not sure exactly what you are saying but i think this shows that there is no problem with the png? thats why i think the problem is with flash otherwise the lines would be present in the above example

i have imported old pictures from previous flash movies made with MX which had fine transparancy and the problem is still there. It has to be Flash which is the problem, but i just dont know what is wrong??

BTW, I see no lines around the seahorse in the Flash movie. Perhaps a screenshot that points out to exactly what you are referring to.
