And how about a little animated indication to indicate you struck a blow or received a blow? I swear, so many people MAKE games but don't appear to have PLAYED any. Model your games after established norms folks.

It irks me that people here pat each other on the back over how nice a game LOOKS and treat gameplay as secondary. This day in age graphics aren't the challenge in making Flash games, it's the interaction and fun factor that is.

Some rules:
-Whenever an event occurs, show a visual indication, along with a sound.
-Interaction is key; The more you let the user DO [without overcomplicating things] the more fun it is (exceptions exist--this is assuming you do everything else right).
