Since There Hasn't Been Much New Output Around Here Recently

    All,

I know we're all a bit jaded about the lack of support for 3DFA, but I had a bit of spare time on Saturday, and decided to try a few new things with it, to see what else it's capable of that I've never used:

Bearing in mind that I've never done anything 3D within 3DFA before, I produced this in about a day from start to finish. (Apologies that it's about 4.6 MB - Perhaps I'll learn a better way soon).

    Little Space Scene

Whilst 3DFA is far from perfect, it's still a damned good tool for the money, and a great way to learn before stepping up to more expensive software. I personally have never managed to get to grips with being able to do stuff like this in the bigger, more complex tools, and will continue to use 3DFA, supported or not.

(Or at least until my PC needs rebuilding and I can't get a new registration number).

Hope you can be bothered waiting for this to load, and like it.

    Morgan.

(In case you're wondering, because it might not be as obvious to you as it is to me, it's supposed to be a space ship taking off)

Nice work Newbie but downloading 4.52mb at 15kb per/sec takes a while.

Once I got Broadband, I never looked back

Perhaps I need to convert it to a streaming video file before I could realistically distribute something like this over the net.

I have dsl and usually download at 80k per second but from your site it was 15k. That's all I was saying.

    Ahah. Sorry for my misunderstanding.

That's a little strange. It should go at anything up to about 256k, but considering the server's in a dusty old garage, and my friend's rabbit keeps gnawing through the network cable and knocking the site offline, perhaps 15k shouldn't be that surprising !

    Glad it loaded eventually

Edit: Just tested it myself, and you're spot on. It's loading at 15k today as well. Maybe I need to find a better server !
