    3ds max 7

What? At 3 grand a pop, 700 for an upgrade , discreet is trying to catch up to a macromedian mean of distributing products on quantity over quality.

I dont know if max is trying to catch up and standardize itself in the business instead of Maya, methinks an update to 6 would help their market a lot more than a new release.

that character studio looks cool though. i dunno why you don't make the step up and upgrade to swift v4. cheap as chips and you get a shiny tin box as well! and if you're real luck you get a monkey too...

    ps: thats not my box

Simply because I've been broke for about 2 months.

Although the monkey seems totally worth it.

I looked at 3dsmax 7 last week. Im using 3dsmax 6 but Im considering switchin back to 3dsmax 4. Why? Because I have like a million usefull plugins and non of them work on 3dsmax 6, so why should they work on 3dsmax 7....

I think 5's the magic number (Law of fives?). All software vendors sold out in future releases including discreet and mm.
