Final Fantasy Style, Secret of Mana or Legend of Lufia Battle Style
Which battle style do people prefer..
1) Final Fantasy where you walk around and then get grabbed into a random battle
2) Secret of Mana where you see the monsters and get to fight them without going to a turn based screen
3) Legend of Lufia where you se the monsters on the screen running around but if you touch them you go to a turn based battle system.
It is for my latest game unsure as to which one to use

Id like a little of both 2 and 3 where u say a enemy on the field and when u hit him u go into battle. But the battles wont be turn based. They would be like the second one"secretofmana".
A perfect example would be Star Ocean till end of time.
good luck!

the thud of the body
I prefer turn-based stuff. Besides real-time battles might be a problem with not-very-fast-flash-player in other words it'll slow him down greatly...

True but if I did real-time then it would just be hit detection to hurt the player.. and the sword swiping as well...
