fading in and out of different swf

How can I fade a swf? What I want to do is have a button that has a pop up but the scene needs to stay in place and only fade so that you can read the pop-up.. Can someone suggest a tutorial or how to do this.. Thanks

Is your .swf loaded in a container clip?
If so apply some lower alpha setting on the container clip.
Or use an onEnterFrame function to fade it down or up again.

I am going to put in a container clip. But haven't been able to find that action you are talking about. I was thinking it would be a on rollout or after the swf closes the background would return to normal.

Do you know of a tuturial that would do this?
