// Silent Protagonist
Splash page
Basic thoughts needed on placeholder splash page- the actual site (when launched, in Flash) will be based around this concept. Thoughts on logo, color scheme, etc appreciated

There really isn't enough to evaluate. It looks OK, but what will it do, why those shapes, why the off center curve across the page.
It's a good start, but where is it going.
It could end up being really cool, or go south real fast.
Good luck, post again in the future with a more completed site.

Hi,
I just want to see people's first impressions of the site- quite a few people have posted just splash pages in this forum to get some first impressions. The off centre curve is my little 'abstract' feature, I quite like it. The site is going to be my personal homepage.
Any more comments?

Under the influence
it's nice but its only a graphic pretty much, this would recieve better feedback in the Design and Graphics forum, try there.
I personally like it so far, but there isnt enough there to tell me if the rest of the site is going to look as good

I do like the look, but the curve is off, but not enough. It just looks off.
I would make it look more intentionally askew.

Up and Comer
i totally agree with wurx about making the curve off more...if it looks too close to correct, people will think you screwed up. so make it really stand out. i do like the look of the center graphic though. the shadows running down the left and right sides don't add too much to the design, IMO. the blue of the shadow almost clashes with the other blues i think. i'd much rather see teh main graphic and the abstract curve continue to the left and right, even if they just fade away to white.

Thanks for the replies- I'll take everything into consideration and I'll post the finished work when I'm done. Hopefully, I'll have a lot more to show then!
