Flash file won't load external Flix swf files.
Hi all,
I am making a flash presentation and there is a point where a movieclip loads an external SWF file that I encoded with Flix Pro. The first video I did works perfectly fine. In the ActionScript it is called "video.swf" However, they wanted the video to be better quality so I re-encoded the file at a better quality and exported the file as video1.swf.
Now when the presentation gets to that point it just stays blank and won't load the video. I get no sound either. I have tried exporting at many different qualities and many different framerates, but nothing seems to be working. I even re-encoded at the same settings as the file that was working, and that won't even work.
I am at my wit's end on this. All I did in the script is change the filename from "video.swf" to "video1.swf" As soon as I change it back to video.swf it calls the old working file and everything is fine.

Hi.
Sounds like you're missing something really basic, but it's hard to know what it is.
What happens if you change the name of any other .swf to video.swf and use it with the same file that is working?
Does the renamed video.swf file work? If so, try renaming the video1.swf file to video.swf and see if that works.
If everything is working like that, then try renaming the original file (the one that worked) to video1.swf and rename the load movie actionscript to load video1.swf and see if that loads.
