KM very slow to save on a network

If my wife is working on our "main" PC I get relegated to our spare room. The two machines are networked, but I've noticed that if I use the second PC to work on a KM file that is stored on the network then KM grinds to a halt when I try to save it.
My processor load goes up to 50% and stays there, and I usually have to stop KM from the task manager.
It's fine if I save locally to the hard disk, and other programs are fine if I save from them, so whatever it is it's specific to KM.

Just wondered if anyone else had come across this symptom?? I've lost some work by forgetting to save locally
    Just five more minutes...

I've got 5 comps networked here but I've never had your problem although I've probably got a different setup to you. I presume that you have KM loaded on to both of your machines.. It is worth trying to make KM.exe into a virtual drive and try running it from there. I have KM loaded on to my main workstation with KM.EXE loaded as a virtual drive (H:\) and I can open it from any of the other machines although the program is actually running on the workstation. It works fine even if someone else is doing something else on the same computer. It's great for summer time as I can sit out in the garden and work over the WiFi link. Just make sure you have adequate ram on the main machine. I'd reccomend 384Mb minimum, 512Mb will cover you for everything on two machines but you really need to add about 256Mb for every extra machine you add to your network.
