    Koolmoves and Flash MX

I've been using Koolmoves for about a month and it's an incredible tool. I've also been thinking about getting Flash MX.

So, my question is - Should I get Flash MX in addition to my Koolmoves? And what are the reasons why I should get Flash MX?

Also, is Koolmoves compatible with Swift3D?

    Thanks.

First reason is because you have lots of money lol. The macromedia Suite is a very powerfull set of programs and if you can afford them go ahead but KM is catching up quickly so I'd stick with KM until you outgrow itor you realise that you don't really need MX anyway..

    Thanks for the reply.

May I ask which software you use?

    Cheers.

I use KM almost exclusively. I have the full MX Suite but in general the the only program I use out of it is Fireworks and sometimes Freehand. I think that Flash MX is probably a bit more refined in the way it generate very crisp and clean graphics but for sheer speed and ease of use, KoolMoves wins hands down. You'll also notice from this forum that the after sales service is excellent and that the program is under a constant refining and updating process.

PS. Koolmoves is only compatible with its own generated "FUN " files but you can import any "SWF" file as a fixed or editable object so in that sense I suppose it is compatible with any program that generates a "SWF"

The conquistador William gave you some good points.
Even if I had (and I still have) many "fights" with certain folks from MM,I have to be honest: nothing can compete with MacroMedia Flash (MX 2004) !
In fact,I use many of their products for a long time ago.
BUT ... always there is a big "but".
Talking about flash (SWF files),KoolMoves is the best choice (for many reasons).
    Few of them:
    - VERY easy to use
    - a bunch of great features
    - ActionScript support (KM v4.7 is coming AS-v7 featured)
    - affordable price (unbeatable at this chapter)
    and many others ...

Glad to hear that Necro, There is just something about MX generated graphics which is special,, Think of "crispy lettuce" and you'll get the idea, but in the general office (800X 600 px) enviroment,,,,,,who the hell is going to notice. KM will look just as good in half the time.

    P.S.,, been trying t5o get in touch with you,,, now it's your turn,,, (+34) 96 299 6867

When the new version of KM comes out, will it be an update or will I have to buy the software again?

Also, in the new version, will layering be available? I'm presently trying the trial version of flash, and I find the isolation of each layer very useful. I have my fingers crossed with KM.

Also, when you buy the complete version of MM, do you end up using dreamweaver much? Also, any comments on Swift 3d?

-> 4.7 to be released to existing users in less than 2 weeks will be a free upgrade. 5.0 to be released in the June/July timeframe will not be a free upgrade (except for beta testers).

Also, in the new version, will layering be available?

-> Use groups. I don't want to relinquish the little icons next to each shape in the timeline indicating what each thing is.

I guess that's one of the features I have not learned yet on KM.

How do you go about using groups?

I'm really looking forward to all the new updates and the new version.

    Cheers.

For the purposes of hiding complexity, I will look into a layer or folder type capability.
