Time for a new Server? New Forum?
Has anyone else had issues with the server constantly being too busy?
Perhaps it's just me!
Perhaps,..if not just me,...a time for a change is near?

I haven't been able to search Flashkit forums during West Coast business hours for several months now.

It has been really bad for the last few days. There have been equally bad periods in the past and the performance problem was fixed. I suspect FlashKit is painfully aware of the current problem and is working on a solution.

Getting better day by day.....
Been having issues accessing the forum too - always "server busy" - although bearing in mind that the software itself only cost about £24, and that it is getting better and better - who can complain ?!
Wouldn't surprise me if Koolmoves will be a serious competetor to Flash Mx in the future at a fraction of the price.
GREAT STUFF flashkit for supporting this fantastic bit of software!!

I asked about this some time back but I think Bob likes it here as it gives KM good advertising, which is understandable. I myself don't care for this forum, as it's always busy.

I suppose if you look at it that way then it's a sign of success that it is always busy. Mind you, saying that, I never seem to have any problem apart from now and again it won't accept a new posting because of server saturation.
I'd say stay here, because the forum (FlashKit) as a whole offers much more for flash developement than an untried and solely KM users forum. By all means go ahead and start another forum, but if you look back to how many have been started in the past then and now have a look at how many are still running (if they are still running at all) with the amount of success as this one then you'll realise that this is where it needs to be. FlashKit is a flash developers community no matter what program you are using, which makes all the difference.
As Bob pointed out. The FlashKit team will no doubt be sorting out the problems. It's in there own interests to do so.

This is an old forum and the admin is a great guy.
Unfortunately, PHP (in conjunction with MySQL) is not a good choice in case of too many visitors (the processing time becomes huge and the server can't solve many requests).
But it's a great place for KM promotion ...

OK,..it was just a thought. I didn't want to rock the boat. It's just that I've seen many apps as they get more established,..move off to their own forum on their own page. Kinda sets the stage as if they are "established" and "professional". Whatever floats Bob's boat is fine with me. I just wondered aloud is all.
Also,..thanks Drew for the very generous offer if noone else has said so to you.

Todd, you're Dolce, but try to be Sweet.
Has nothing to do with "established" and "professional".
I might unlock my old FORUM (a nice KM section there),but this is not the point.
It's about promotion and ranking.
And anyway,it's up to BOB H.
cheers

I agree, it's up to Bob.
