Already lawmakers in the Texas House have approved a bill to ban sexually suggestive dance moves and regulate other school performances that might be considered too sexual in nature.[...]

The proposal would prohibit school cheerleaders, drill and dance teams and theater troupes from using steps, cheers or movements that might be considered overly sexual.[...]

"Show me where you define what is 'too sexually suggestive,' " demanded Rep. Senfronia Thompson, a Democrat from Houston.[...]

The bill's author, Rep. Al Edwards, also a Democrat from Houston, responded by noting that the activity that would be banned "is like sex -- you'll know it when you see it."[...]

Debate raged for hours, even as some lawmakers complained that too much time was being taken up by what one called a "stupid and senseless" proposal to legislate morality.

But Edwards noted "nothing of what we do here is more important than to protect our young children," who, he argued, are being sent the wrong message by suggestive dance routines.

agreed, but just to clarify this isn't about lawsuits this is about passing a law... making 'sexual' dancing illegal.

You should all go to Norway where striptease is considered art:

OSLO (AFP) - Striptease is an art and should therefore be exempt from value-added tax (VAT), a Norwegian court has ruled.

The Diamond Go Go Bar in Oslo took the Norwegian state to court after it tried to impose VAT on entry fees to the club.

But in the Oslo district court's verdict, a copy of which was obtained by AFP on Wednesday, the judge ruled that striptease performances should benefit from the VAT exemption granted to opera, ballet and theatre performances among others.
