.xxx domain names

For those who haven't heard, a new .xxx domain will be added near the end of the year.

My question is, how will they go on sale? Will it be a free for all on the day they are made available? Can anyone purchase them? What prevents one company from buying all the good names?

I'm not really interested in running an adult website, but one would think it'd be very very profitable if you were able to secure a some good .xxx domain names.

lets put it this way.. most of the adultwebmasters i know.. arn't even bothering with them.. .com's still rule.. its what people know and remeber.. just like .biz, .info, .name .wtf there will be some bought but i doubt it will be a huge turn for the market

specially because .xxx would get filtered by those parents filters, and obviously, that'd be loss of traffic.

I think i'll get one though, although wouldn't be a porn site.
