I MISS YOU ALL!! (And i have a prblem)
DUDES!!!!
OMG, you guys had a major face-lift! And its really nice!
well, its been months since ive been away here, and i just wanna greet everybody.....HOWDY!!
yeah youve all been very helpful, and my flash games are goin well
though my problems dont stop there...too bad
umm ok ill get to the point, i was wondering if it is possible to make a movie clip(already complete with scripts inside it) to appear out of nowhere using a command that sez it to appear when a certain trigger is turned on
and also,
a command that detects whether a certain movie clip is present inside the stage
example:
MC - John is detected in the stage....(john is now in the stage)
yeah anyway, its kinda wierd no? but itll really help my game out...REALLY help my game out....
thanks a bunch dudes!!

hey, i just joined 3 days ago
do you mean just visible and invisible?
or actually loading one?
if it is just visible invisible you can still put it offscreen and just move it on when you make it visible if you are woried about cluttering up the screen
then to detect just do
var John:Movieclip = John_mc
if (John._visible == true){
trace("John is detected on the stage")
}
dunno bout loading tho, seems un noobish enough for the actionscript forum tho dont ya think
-
oh hehehe yeah, i think it shouldnt be here in the noob
posts...SORRY!
but anyway thanks dude, ill see about that "invisible" suggestion you were saying...seems promising
thanks a bunch!
