[Official Thread] Pixel Art "Comp 1" Voting...

It's such a hard decision but here it goes:
3rd place: Dominicaninja "Ion Phalanx". Like the shading style and the ship's original shape.
2nd place: Pointguard "Small Stealth Fighter". I like it
1st place: Slight "Devourer Class Heavy Fighter". Just a piece of art. (I liked all of Slight's ships but it would have been unfair to vote only for them)
And.. honourable mention: TheHumanChimp "USB". Very good use of shadows and the most original of all lol.

1st: A tie between the HumanChimp's USB, because it would win in a fight, and Slight's Devourer Class Heavy Fighter, because your enemy would be too busy saying, "whoa, what the f%$& is that?" to fight back.

My vote would go to :

1 ) Tonypa ("Torpedo 2") : I like the concept of it, how it is supposed to work, and once again, that skull i see in the middle gives it extra sense for me

2) Slight ("Ship A") : I like the weirdness of it, and the almost organic feel (but not too much) to it : definitely an Alien ship !

3) McLelun ("no name") : I can see how I would animate it : the curved wings could gather and enclose the ship for a extra protection, a tubular shield around the ship : for me the wings HAVE to be mobile - It has a lot of fun / gameplay potential, and is definitely slick and sober

But, overall, good job all : this was a good idea, hope to see more contests like this, and more open-source ressources for people to toy with !

2. Tonypa's Plasma 3, looks like it would fit in an arcade shooter you would have played in the late 80s.

i liked slight's, but he is so good, it almost wouldn't fit in a game. plus, i mean, come on, he's a natural.

Just a quick spelling correction, My fourth entry is called "Manta Patrol" (like a manta ray), not Mantra Patrol. pointguard accidently mispelled it.
