    newbie help

hello everyone, my name is nigel, im new to this forum & flash.
when starting my new software & creating a simple "movie" i came across a problem that i need help with.

im unable to add sound to my movie.

i followed the command "views-action/sounds" when promted for folder with sound recordings i chose one of my "music folders", when opening the folder with the "action/sonds browse mode" there was no files in the folder.

so there must be a problem becuase i know there are, so my request is:

    1) how to best record/import sounds
    2) in what format to use
    3) in what folder to save in, e.g "koolmoves/...."
    4) what audio editor to use
    5) what image editor to use

Thank you in advance for your help.
    nigel.

Save your recordings as wav (pcm) or mp3. Save your images as bmp, jpg, png or gif. It doesn't matter where you put them but I recommend that you put them in the same folder where the fun file will be or in a /sound folder and /image folder relative to where the fun file will be. There are some image/sound editor recommendations in the help file.

For a newbie, here's my suggestions.

    1) Audacity
    2) WAV - 16bit 48khz
    3) Create a new folder in your "My Documents" folder and name it whatever you want. This way you know where all your files are.
    4) Audacity
    5) PhotoFilter

PhotoFilter doesn't support layers but is easy for the noob. If you want more, download Gimp .
