Bit Torrent
I am not sure if this has been covered in many of the other lame threads that led to pirating but my search came up with nothing.
All I am wondering is what port it runs through and how can I get around my schools server to still use it? I have some gaming files I want to Download(HL2 mods an such) but my school blocked BT.
Steam still works and all the other gaming server ports..yet BT is blocked..LAME.

I have no idea. All I Know is if I start any of these files it NEVER connects. And they are new files so there should be a ton of seeders.

Y'know, I was just checking out portforward.com, and it seems "World of Warcraft Downloader" also uses port 6881, among other ports. Since they apparently don't have a problem with gaming ports, you might be able to convince them that you need 6881 for WoWD.

hmhm I am not sure who to talk to. And I am not sure if they persay don't have a probalem with gaming...they just don't have Steams port blocked. And I am not about to bring that to their attention

Phantom Flasher...
Use a BT client that allows you to select which ports are used.
Its more likely that all non-standard ports are blocked by default.

this bit tornado thing says use ports 10000-60000 aren't most ports lower then 10000?
Still not connecting...I am about to give up.

use the internet proxy-server of your school usualy port 1080 then redirect to the port that you want or any socket.
