Questions about Logos; Questions about Print

Hey guys, i'm curious about a couple things. The first of which being, when you send a logo package off to a client what all do you include in it (filetypes, sizes, grayscale, etc).

And... When you're designing for print do you design for the size the image will be when it prints out, or do you design at a low size and make it print larger somehow. This is something I've never really done much but I was thinking baout making some posters. I know Kinkos wil take anysize as long as it's PSD format... but I guess I'm more interested in how it should be done professionally.

And is there a certain color table I should use for print? I've heard something about using CMKY but, like I said, I've never really done much print.

When I release a logo to a client I create a nice presentation of how to use it in color, grayscale, and black and white for screen, print, anything they may need.

All of your logos should be done in a vector based program so size isn't an issue. As for printing at kinkos, you're doing yourself damage. Find a local printer and talk to them about what formats they take and what they can print for you. It will be in CMYK color (unless you go with pantone but it doesn't sound like you'd be doing that).

I'm with Krog on this one. I would do it in CMYK, Black and White, and also in RGB for computer screen usage. Use a vector program for scaleability. Also use as many colors as you want but remember that when printing diff. colors cost. So try shades of the same colors for some logos... KINKOS AAAAAHHHHHH
