    Flash 8 issues

    When I try to navigate through a site that I am creating I get this (see pic below). Also, getURL does not seem to work with FP8!

    So is the end user going to see this too when the site goes live, as I am testing this locally?

    It's because you are testing locally and trying to download stuff from a web server. The end user shouldn't see it when it is all online. Follow the instructions on the page you are sent to from that dialog box and you won't need to get that message again.

    getURL works fine for me in 8.

    Now that just sucks. I have the ability to change the settings but I have to go to MM's site to change the settings. AAAAWWWW!! The getURL problem was either due to the settings or because I was testing offline. Go figure. I have never had a bad word about MM but this has the smell of M$ behind it with these security settings.
