"There is a new feature called 'Show redraw regions' in the Flash Player which will allow you to see which areas of your movie are refreshed every frame."
Does anyone have example of this? I would like to see it in action.
how can i disable it i hate when there alot of stuff in the menu gets people into truble when they start messing with stuff and can make the site look ugly.
I think the "show redraw regions" are great when you are optimizing your movie... but why does it have to be in the right-click menu???
It is possible to enable it with actionscript, which means you can write a few lines of code when optimizing (and then remove it when you are done), but I haven't found a way to remove it from the menu... (yet).
I dont have it in the right-click menu. I only see that when testing movie in Flash, not on the online movies or movies run locally in standalone player.
I mean I dont have that in the menu when I test the link tommysalo posted: http://www.salomonsson.se/f8/pixels1.html
when I right click on that swf I have 2 menu items: settings and about.
I got the "Show redraw"-setting when I installed the flashplayer that came with the trial of flash8.
When I had the beta-player I didn't see that setting.
Laughing my butte off, ok so then normal people dont see the redraw or the debuge thing hum ok cool good to know lol. those 2 thing are for developers and theres no need for it for normal people
