    Show redraw regions

    From this article:
    http://www.kaourantin.net/2005/08/pe...-player-8.html

"There is a new feature called 'Show redraw regions' in the Flash Player which will allow you to see which areas of your movie are refreshed every frame."

Does anyone have example of this? I would like to see it in action.

    Please.

I think the "show redraw regions" are great when you are optimizing your movie... but why does it have to be in the right-click menu???
It is possible to enable it with actionscript, which means you can write a few lines of code when optimizing (and then remove it when you are done), but I haven't found a way to remove it from the menu... (yet).

"Show redraw regions" only appears in the menu when you test your movie in Flash.

I put one of my f8-tests online, and I get the Show redraw regions-option in my rightclick-menu.

I dont have it in the right-click menu. I only see that when testing movie in Flash, not on the online movies or movies run locally in standalone player.

I got the "Show redraw"-setting when I installed the flashplayer that came with the trial of flash8.
When I had the beta-player I didn't see that setting.

    Heh. Mystery solved :-D

Will the player with "Show redraw" be downloadable from MM (maybe it already is?), or is the player that goes with F8 a developer-version ;-)

If a customer by accident turns "Show redraw" on, the flash movie will look all messed up pretty quick!
