Bitmap Linkage Problem
Anybody else seen this problem in Flash 8?
Create a new document. Import a bitmap image to the library. Right click it in the library, select Export for Actionscript, and give it a linkage ID ("image");
Then delete the image from the library. Import a new bitmap image, and give it the same linkage ID as before - Flash throws an error "You must specify a unique identifier to export or import this symbol" - even though the new image is the only thing in the library...
Argh...

I have observed something similar with components I developed, which contained UIcomponents or other linked movieclips. I had one component in the library and then created a compiled clip. Now there was the component and the compiled clip in the library. When I put the compiled clip on stage to test it threw error messages:
You must specify a unique identifier to export or import this TextArea or RadioButton and so on.
I have never experienced that with MX2004. I am afraid to have different clips containing the same movieclips in the library because it could throw such error.

No, that does not happen to me. I can use same linkage id after first image is deleted. I am using WinXp.
