Bill O'Reilly and Jon Stewart: part deux
Bill O'Reilly on The Daily Show tomorrow (Tuesday).
Seemed popular last time

supervillain
I predict a lot of yelling and a sly joke about interns and female co-workers.

...why was this thread started before the actual interview?...
Seemed rather short to me, compared to his other interviews. Also seems he didn't lay into him as much as I wanted him to - like he did to bow-tie boy Tucker on Crossfire (but, I suppose that was a serious interview on a serious show, not a comedy interview on a comedy show...)
But he does raise some good points: why is Bill so angry? His response ("We have a lot of bad things/people to fight") doesn't really answer the question. TDS has been unique in the sense that it makes its points with humor rather than vitrol.
In the end, what's the difference between O'Reilly getting worked into a huff and calling someone an incompetient bastard, and Jon commenting on a video montage that leaves you with the same conclusion? It seems to me that a light harted, humerous approach to discussing important topics does more to help the national dialogue than screaming and calling people 'pinhead'.
I just read somewhere today that O'Reilly is thinking of retiring because of all the negative opinions about him floating out there... poor baby.

because when Stewart was one the O'Reilly Factor, I missed it. So this was to let people know that it was happening
It seemed like Bill was acting all worked up at one point. Like he is expected to start screaming so he probably should. My guess he wants to retire because he's running out of steam.

Wasn't as good as I thought, the audience really let him know they don't like him
anyone watch the Colbert report?

Colbert is definately not as seasoned as Stuart, and it shows. He's got a good dea-pan, but he stumbles too much on the teleprompter to pull it off fully. Love his send up of O'Reilly though.
Could be a winner, but they've got to come up with a way to get him out of TDS's shadow. The show still reads like a Daily Show extended segment to me.

Definitely. It is only episode 2, I will give him a while to get his own track and pace.
Anyone else dislike the new anchor people on the daily show. TDS was prime like 1-2 years ago.

Stewart conducted the whole thing with class, O'Reilley didn't take it too seriously either but it was interesting. He should go on there more often.
Best part of the Colbert Report? The bullet-points on The Word.
