What is with CSI

What is the deal with this show?
It's been #1 show in the US for a looooong time.

Yet I never hear anyone really talking about it.

Every time I happen to start watching it, that cheesy intro comes on
with that song from The Who. "Whooooooooo are you hoo hoo hoo hoo".

Then I have to turn it off. It seems so hokey to me, is the show really that good or are people just delusional?

I hate that intro to.
Its too annoying for its own good.
The story is ok though, the writers kind of treat the viewers like idots though, they contstantly have little side flashes to allow you to "work the mystery out before the hero does".
Meh.

I watched an episode. I thought it sucked, but the people that told me to watch it suck, imho, so that sort of tainted it for me.

the vegas show is OK. if you like watching the real 'crime file' stuff on Discovery/TLC, this is just the dramatic version of those. it's totally cheesy (what TV isn't?), but it's watchable. the miami version is worse, and the NY version is nothing more than an 'also ran'. that said, there are far too many unbelievable aspects to it...like each person seems to be an expert in every form of forensics (DNA, tire intentification, etc.) other than Lost, what other one-hour drama is worth watching? Vegas is close.

I like CSI (can't stand Miami or NY though). I'm not a loyal viewer, but if it's on, I'll catch it.

Yup, I've heard its quite sucky... but thats about it... I caught about 2 minutes of it and switched over... yawn fest

Family Guy is probably my fav atm. CSI too condescending. "We have blast marks eminating from a central point, burn marks on the walls... I think it was a bomb."

Ugh I can't stand that show. If I a going to watch a crime be solved with forensics, I will watch the new detectives or FBI files of something like that. CSI throws in to much stupid drama. Really, the only good this is that the crimes are interesting and unusal, not your run of the mill serial rapist/murders.

Well if they could bother themselves to churn out a few more quality episodes then I'd agree... lately its had its funny moments... but alot of it has been filler...

yea theres not much good tv on right now.

Even Lost seems to be losing it's luster.

Will probably watch 24 again when that comes on, but that's getting old.
How much can one man take, really.

I think Curb your Enthusiasm is the best show on TV, period.
There's never a bad episode imo. Extras is also very good. Am finally able to watch it since I got hbo.

The Apprentice is no longer good, I still watch Survivor, not sure why but I think its a good reality show, one of the originals. Has good ratings. Heh, now I'm talking about reality tv, bleh its all the same really.
