Platform Game - Char going into ground?

Hey everyone,

Ostil found this amazing tutorial how to do the very basics of a platform game which includes movement, enemies and collecting coins. After doing this tutorial we though it would be nice to attempt a platform of our own

Ive attached the very start of it. You can go ahead and try it though dont be dissapointed when theres not much to it :P

Anyways, heres the problem. When you play it, the character is fine, standing on top the ground like he should. But sometimes while playing around with him, he goes into the ground a tad

The thing is, Im not sure what causes the problem to happen, so I dont know where to look to fix it. It could be jumping, killing the bad guy, I dont know


Anyways, if you guys could help us, it would be greatly appreciated as always



Ps , just a side note. Did anyone else have problems putting up a highscore system on the internet using xml?

Very nice dave, im glad this topic poped up because i have an old game i neda redo and that covered everything i needed. *My last one was tilebased but i knew nothing about AS so it was realy bad*
