please humor my vague stupid question
i just got a pretty good digital camera and im pretty good at pencil art so i was wondering what would be the easiest way to get my pencil work on the computer and turn it into flash art.
I was thinking that maybe i could just darken the image, use it as a background in Flash and then make new a image over it but i feel that if i got photshop or something like that, that that might make things easier... (did all those "thats" make sense?)
anyway, if you can figure out a response be sure to reply

You could try to Trace your artwork in Flash.
Simply import your image into Flash, and select it.
Then go to Modify > Bitmap > Trace bitmap.
This method works pretty well.
P.S. Theres no such thing as a stupid question
The only thing that makes a question stupid is when it's not being asked!

There's no such thing as a stupid question - just stupid people....
For years before I got a scanner, I used to take pictures of drawings with a (very cheap) digital camera then import it into flash. Just lock the layer with the bmp on then manually trace over it on a second layer.
Takes ages but you get a far better quality then with trace bitmap although ultimately you need to get a decent graphics tablet.
