Hearing sound frame by frame in flash 8

Hey, remember way back with flash 4 you could click on an individual frame and hear the sound that was being made during that frame (instead of having to watch the entire movie again and again)? How do you do that with flash 8? I'm sure there's some feature you can switch on, but I haven't been able to find it. Thanks.

I dont know if I understand the problem. I suppose you want to hear sound attached to the frame without publishing the swf just by clicking on the frame in Flash authoring. I am afraid there is no plain "hear sound" option. But in the Properties panel you could open Edit effect and there you can play the sound.

If the sound is in the file and set to stream, it will play as you scrub through the frames. I believe mp3 files don't play, or don't play very well, but wav and other sound files should work.

I've been wondering this myself, I can't seem to make it work
