Swap MovieClip - Paint/a bit of Games

How do you swap a movie clip at the click of a button? I ave been asking this for ages and nobody ever told me how to do it by actionscript. So that if I have a paint job and i want 2 different brushes how do I change the cursor to brush1 when enterframe; and change the cursor to brush2 on a button touch; and change back again??? (P.S. I would also like to know how to change the different patterns - so - i could draw in PEN when my cursor looks like a PEN and i could draw in PENCIL when my cursor looked like a PENCIL? [("a tutorial will do")]

    Thanks And Merry Christmas!

Basically you need to provied a MovieClip in the Library wich are "Exported for ActionScript" (rightClick -> Linkage, in the Library)

As code says more than english and it is almost chrismas,
    i did a little example:
    Attached Files Attached Files
My letters on the F1 key have faded, how are yours today?

you can also swapDepths with movieClips created at author time ie drawn directly on the stage and not called from the library at runtime
