    Optimus Prime is #34?

    50 Best Robots, Ever!

    from wired

And The Iron Giant (crappy, crappy movie) made the list, but no mention of Bender or Voltron? This contest is rigged!

The list missed some of the all time great "robots". They're a little loose with their definition of robot so I figure can be too...

Roy Batty ("time to die"), Pris, Zhora, Rachael, Leon (etc) from Blade Runner
    Hymie from Get Smart
B9 aka Robot ("Danger Will Robinson") from Lost In Space
Rosie the maid-bot from the Jestons
Johnny Five ("number five is alive") from Short Circuit
    any of the Stepford Wives
Twiki ("bidi bidi bidi") from Buck Rogers (in the 25th century, of course)
V.I.N.CENT, B.O.B. and the evil Maximillian from Black Hole (the movie)
Box ("plankton from the sea!") from Logan's Run
Muffet and the Cylons ("by your command") from Battlestar Galactica
The Dalek's ("exterminate!") from Dr. Who
Data (although they always made it clear he was an android, not a robot)
Evil Yul Brynner cowboy robot from West World
When your swf2exe tool just HAS to work
there's only one choice... SWF Studio

    Voltron wasn't a robot.

Nintendo's R.O.B got the major shaft, there was no bigger video game innovation in the history of mankind that rivals the magnificance of R.O.B.

Yes I saw it. Cartoon Network ran it for 24 hours straight once. Saw it, hated it, and had nothing to watch the rest of the day.
