Strange router
You might remember I posted about my router being stupid, and I bought a new one. But the problem is still here, and I have no idea whats causing it.
The thing is that my internet (and connection to anything else on the network) gets slower and slower until its not moving at all, and checking my local area connection status I see that I don't recieve any packages. If I try to repair the connection (the button that says "repair"), I don't get assigned any new IP by the router, even thought DHCP is turned on. Setting a static IP on the computer wont help either, and it simply won't connect. Even if I disable and enable the connection it won't connect, and if I finaly get it to work then it will get slower and slower until it stops working again (see above).
Its the same for my mums computer, but not my brother. His is working fine, and he has wireless, so I thought it might be the wireless interfering, but I don't know. I tried to reduce the lease time on the router to 5 hours so it would update more often, but that didn't work either.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

i think i had a similar problem with my router a while ago. It was similar to yours. It seemed that there was another wireless router in the area, and somehow it was causing conflicts.
Every half hour or so, the net stopped working, dhcp or static ips weren't working, the only way was to turn off the router and turn it on again.
I did several things, don't know which of them fixed the problem, but I haven't got it again:
Limited the number of dhcp to for clients
Change my network ip's (from the default to something like 139.xxx.xxx.xxx)
Change the wireless channel
setup a wep password.

It probably was the changing of the channel. I had problems due to a couple other wireless networks broadcasting on channel 6, plus all the cordless phones in my house. They all went away when I switched from channel 6 to 11.
