Phantom Flasher...
Dell delivery fiasco number 2!
What the hell is going wrong with Dell these days?
Some of you may remember, I ordered a TV from them before christmas, they moved the delivery date three times, then told me the order had been cancelled... several angry phone calls and a long annoying letter to the chairman later someone helpful called me, offered to pay the difference if I bought another tv and £75 in vouchers.
I accepted it (this was two months after the initial order date!)
I got my tv from another site, then called to get the cash back "certainly sir, it will be in your account in a week.
It arrived about two weeks later.
So I use this voucher thing to order a couple of webcams and some memory for my laptop.
A week after the supposed delivery date, I get an email saying my order has been delayed!
ARE YOU FFFFFFFFFING KIDDING ME DELL?!?!?!!!!
Its a couple of webcams and some memory! Its not like I'm ordering some exotic part from outer mongolia!!!!!
What a sack of shhhhh dell are!!!! When did their service become so awful???
I'd be angry if these items weren't free, but twice in two orders... thats fffffing insane!!!
I will never, ever order from Dell again in my life.
Anyone else have such horrific experience with Dell?

No, because I don't buy anything Dell. Your fiasco is just another reminder of why I never will.

nah man. What happened to just going out and buying it the old fashioned way. Sure you might get hasseled into buying that little extra sound system but hey, store persons gotta get paid.

That's pretty sheisty indeed. I myself would never ever order from Dell simply because it bundled crap, don't really trust anything else they put their hands on either. And those "Dude you'r getting a Dell" commercials killed it for me right from the start.

imagination through stupidity
on another note, i'm not buying anything from apple online store anymore(the 12-15 day return process sucks). i'm going to return the monitor then go down to the store and talk to my friend and go through all the 23"s in stock until i find a color perfect one.
too bad dell doesn't have any stores. man, i've never had a problem with dell. I got 4 dell computers, despite them all breaking at-least twice during the warranty period they're just fine. Shipping and ordering were flawless, tho i haven't bought anything from them in almost 2 years and everything was always done through my small business guy. I'll have to tell you, consumer anything == poor general support and usually poorer quality.
They did try to pass a "planar" lcd off for a "dell lcd" once, they took it back no prob.

Never ever had issues with Dell. Every computer in our house is a Dell, as is every monitor. The most recent one was about 6 months ago, came in fine without hassle.

Yeah, but it comes a month late!
I'd just like a delivery on time. I thought internet orders were a contract. Twice Dell has broken this contract! Boooooooooo! Dells delivery of orders is the worst I've ever had to deal with!

As far as Dell go, they are probably one of the best out there, like it or not.

Did you really have to bring that up from over 2 years ago?

Wait- what now?
Also, to add insult to injury, you revived the thread with a complete lie.

I vote that the post dates be in bright red... and blinking. All of these 2+ year old posts being revived is annoying.

Perhaps someone can turn this into an Obama vs. McCain thread, so all is not lost.
