    InLove with InDesign

Ok, I am 5 days into my trial with InDesign... it's a beautiful thing.

Maybe it's the fact that I haven't used a good page layout app in years... Quark 4.1 on a mac being the last.

Man, this really is nicely developed software though, I love the way the tabs run up the right hand side.

Just thought I would share my new found love.

    Love live Picas and InDesign!

now to chase down $ owed from clients to get a big Adobe bundle...

Lol ... welcome to the dark side my friend!

Been using InDesign since Quark dragged their feet releasing their OSX version. Haven't looked back since. I still like Quark, but both are so similar in features and equally supported by the print vendors I use that I'm just sticking with InDesign now.

Actually I think it was 5.0 where I left Quark... yea mainly to do with the OSX upgrade issue, well that's when I ditched mac alltogether.

One of my main pet peeves with Quark, maybe they have fixed it now in subsequent versions though... was it's print / page setup dialogue... like this extra page setup step with all of these options, but it seemed no matter what I did I couldn't get the print oriented the way I wanted.

I think I remember that clumsy print dialogue. Definitely like the way InDesign handles it though. Love the PDF export as well. I use it on both my mac at work and PC at home.

oh god... I truly despise Quark more than I do Flash and how it handles XML.

oh yeah... InDesign is where it's at. I left Quark 4.11 behind and never went back.

Hahahaha you'll be having tupperware parties soon...

I just got quark 6 or 7 or something... Its the same as its always been... which is good in some ways, bad in others... I still would like to try indesign... but the upgrade for quark was cheaper.

When it takes till version 6.1 for a program to support multiple undo's, it should be shot, poisoned, burnt, dropped on the surface of mars without a space suit, spit on .... ok well let me get back to my catalog layout in friggin Quark 6.1.

Quark is what we have here at work no matter how hard I have tried to push the issue.
