    Flv. for mobile devices?

    I am wondering if it is possible for mobile devices to play flash videos.

    What format allows for the highest quality animations to be played on mobiles?

    Flash Lite 1.1 has no video capability, though you can launch the phone's video player to see video (it is not integrated directly within your flash application).

    Flash Lite 2.0 plays video using the native formats of the phone. The video appears within the Flash application, but is actually played by another application. You need to know the formats supported by the phone. For s60 phones these would be 3GPP, Real Video.

    Flash 6 on a higher end PPC might support .flv embedded in the SWF. Though Adobe recommends launching windows media player for video.
