Drawing issue

I can best show what I mean by showing the example...

....... I want a tidy looking button, and have drawn it large then made it the right size,

That however doesn't look right anymore.

I would try a few different methods of drawing this object.
1. draw it closer to the size it will be on the screen
2. construct it differently, like using a slightly thicker border - it may be that the screen resolution can't cope with a thin border. (look at the rounded buttons on this site - they also look a little jagged, but it's not so obvious because of the gradient)
